Krissy:

"No one is going to kick you out." I said assuredly then glanced back at my brother who kinda nodded and shrugged.

"If you say so," Lexi managed a smile but she kept glancing over at Kyle, watching him suspiciously.

Kyle:

I looked back at her with a look like I might have had some thing unpleasant in my mouth.

Lexi rolled her eyes. "Don't be a baby about it, Kyle." she hissed.

Kyle:

"Oh I'm not. I know we wont have you with us for long any way, you'll probably just run off again." I snapped at her. "Kyle." Krissy said disapprovingly.

Lexi glared at him, tears coming to her eyes. "I can't take this anymore," she growled, stomring from the room and going back to the backyard and her tree. She climbed it, sitting up high and crying softly into her hands.

Krissy:

I turned around to glare at Kyle before going after Lexi. I found her in one of the bigger trees and scaled it easily. "Aw Lexi, don't be upset, you know how Kyle can be, that doesn't mean he hates you."

Lexi sniffled, looking up. She was a mess and she knew it. "It feels like he does. You're the closest thing I have to a family now and...then he acts like that...It makes me wish I had thrown myself over that balcony."

Krissy:

"Oh Lexi don't say that!" I said then  broke into a coughing fit.  

Lexi gently rubbed Kayla's back to help her coughing stop. She sighed. "I'm sorry, Krissy. But that's how I feel."

Krissy:

"But Lexi, it has been so much better since we've met you. I mean, even after you left Kyle and I were doing better." I admitted.

((LOL. Sorry, they're so similar.))

"What do mean by that?" Lexi asked, frowning.

Krissy:

I sighed. "Well.. Our dad died a few months before we met you. It was hard with just the two of us, we never did any thing just kept moving. And then we found you and it was like we actually were living again." I said looking at the ground.

"Rather than running? I understand..." Lexi murmured her reply. "I honestly had been running around, just trying to find someone to hold onto, to help me survive another day and you guys did that for me. Even stopped me from...doing something stupid, even though it still tempts me..." Lexi looked down at the ground ten feet below her as she said that.

Krissy:

I grabbed her hand. "That's why we need each other." I said cogently.
